Product Description
1. EngineTest© Data Acquisition System (DAS)
The company’s premiere product is our EngineTest System-a real-time data
acquisition and control system. The EngineTest system is a complete hardware and
software solution to all of your engine test needs. This state of the art, cost
competitive system can form the backbone of your new test cell or can be refit
into your older test cells as a stand-alone product.
For those test cells with existing data acquisition systems that lack
user-friendly, structured access to test data and sequencing of tests, the
EngineTest System can easily be installed and integrated with any system. It
combines state of the art software and hardware with practical solutions for
wiring and ergonomics to produce a full end-to-end solution.
Applications:
* Gas turbine engine testing (CF34, T56, AE1107, PW100, A250, etc.)
* Industrial gas turbine engine testing
* Rotating machinery testing
* Interface to data buses such as Arinc 429 or MIL-STD-1553B
* Control of rotating machinery test rigs
* R&D, production and overhaul test requirements.
The company’s premiere product is our EngineTest System-a real-time data
acquisition and control system. The EngineTest system is a complete hardware and
software solution to all of your engine test needs.
2. Dynamic Data Acquisition System (DDAS)
The Dynamic Data Acquisition System (DDAS) was designed for use during Research
and Development (R & D) testing of rotating machinery including gas turbine
engines. Acquisition rates of 100,000 samples per second combined with a 22 bit
resolution provide reliable and accurate data to monitor all dynamic parameters
such as stress/strain, vibration and dynamic pressure.
The DDAS can be configured with 8, 16, 32 or 64 channels and have full
monitoring, logging and processing capability to allow for detailed
investigations either on-line or through post-processing. Because of the
cost-effective and powerful architecture, the 8 channel systems can be used for
vibration analysis during production or overhaul of gas turbine engines. These 8
channel systems provide broadband, tracked and band-pass signals to a main data
acquisition system using standard protocols.
Applications:
* Gas turbine engine testing
* Rotating machinery testing
* Control of rotating machinery test rigs
* R&D, production and overhaul test requirements.
3. Throttle Control
The throttle system uses the following configuration:
The PLC includes an analog input and analog output card to control the throttle
systems. The command signal is taken from the levers and processed by the PLC.
The PLC then decides what output to send to the actuator in accordance with the
logic described below. The touch panel is used as the operator interface for
rigging and maintenance of the system.
The first component is the actual control head mounted on the console. This
control head is used to produce an analog signal into the PLC for position
demand. In addition, it is used to set the mechanical stop for the idle detent
during the test. Either one or two levers are provided depending upon the engine
requirements.
PLC (logic): The input from the control head is fed in to the PLC. The PLC then
calculates all of the logic associated with the task and provides an analog
output to the actuator which moves to the appropriate position. The actuator
generates an error between the demand and actual positions and sends a discrete
back to the PLC if they do not match. If this discrete is received, the manual
jog input is used to bypass all of the actuator electronics and force the
actuator to cut-off.
Alarms from the Data Acquisition System can also be used to externally trigger a
trip to idle or trip to cut-off. When this happens, the lever must be returned
to a value near minimum in order to reset the system. The demand positions are
transferred to the main data acquisition system via the serial link in
engineering units.
4. Test Facilities
Yanos Aerospace designs and develops test facilities for the development,
production and overhaul testing of industrial and aviation gas turbine engines.
These facilities provide engine manufacturers and overhaul shops with cost
effective, efficient and safe testing environments.
A new test cell facility is a significant capital investment and requires
significant integration and expertise in various disciplines. As a result of
prior projects and work, our company is ideally suited to support you in this
work to ensure that a world class facility is completed on a cost effective
basis.
5. EngineTest© Software
Improve your first test pass rate and reduce the number of retests by making
your test cell more efficient with EngineTest © software. EngineTest © allows
you to easily collect, process, retrieve, store, and display the data relating
to the testing of an engine. The EngineTest© software will complete all of the
required functions quickly and accurately. It is a complete stand-alone product
specifically designed for use in the gas–turbine engine test cell market.
This software has been developed by Yanos Aerospace personnel with direct
experience in the engine overhaul and production field as well as the engine
test cell field. Our knowledgeable personnel will ensure that all your engine
performance, work-flow, and usability requirements are met.Fully Windows 2000/XP
based, the architecture makes the most efficient use of processor power and
distributed architecture to ensure that your data is accurate, accessible and
safe and your reports reflect the image you want to portray to your customer.
EngineTest’s distributed architecture allows for increased productivity and
expanded test capability through a simple bolt-on module approach. New
requirements or special tests can be easily accommodated with simple
configuration changes.
